At 27 years of age, Charles has an astounding amount of experience in singing. After receiving a 1st class degree in music from the University of Huddersfield, he became the bass choral scholar and singing teacher at Bradford Cathedral. A number of his pupils took ABRSM singing grades and his pupils hold an impressive 100% pass rate. Charles has recently embarked on his own musical journey studying at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire for a Masters in Vocal & Operatic Performance, for which he received a distinction and performing in a number of operas as the lead role.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I have performed with Waterperry Opera Festival in their 2022 summer season.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try to be as flexible as possible with bookings - small time changes should be easily adjusted for. Any change in date can be negotiated depending on my diary.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

N/A

How much time do you need to set up?

My setup takes no longer than 15-30 minutes so that I can have chance to familiarise myself with the venue.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes I bring everything I need to perform myself.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Of course! I pride myself on being a fast learner of new repertoire and so I am happy to learn new pieces for performance. Where this happens, there may be a small fee to pay for new music unless you have the facility to send it to me.
