The Marcello Duo formed in 2013 – first as a creative way of two friends exploring the rarely performed double-cello repertoire but very soon realising the format had an undeniable appeal and potential to draw the attention and interest of wider audiences. We have since performed at numerous events including weddings, anniversaries, dinner parties and corporate banquets as well as free, charitable public performances to support and promote the Farnborough Symphony Orchestra of which we are both active members.

We had our wedding in a beautiful setting in Royal Tunbridge Wells in July 2018. We were incredibly privileged to have our special day graced by Magda and Robin’s beautiful playing. Aside from being highly gifted musicians and lovely people, their seemless duet provided such an elegant and romantic background to our special ceremony without in any way being intrusive. Many guests remarked on how wonderfully their enchanting playing complemented both the setting and the emotion and passion of our wonderful day. We are both very grateful to them for making our wedding day even more special and cannot recommend them highly enough.

We had a pleasure of Magda and Robin’s company at our conference event at the University of Creative Arts, Epsom, where they enhanced our event with some lovely cello duets. We really enjoyed their music, we had lots of positive feedback as hosts and we look forward to using their services again in future.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is two cellos. We do not have different options for a line-up.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 30 minutes before the performance time.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

We're happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, we bring our own instruments and music stands to the performance, but we might ask you to provide us with two chairs.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is an additional fee for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
