Thank you so much to everyone at Cawston Band for making our wedding so special. All of guests said how lovely it was to hear real music and have a dance – it was such a great day and we were delighted that you were able to join us.

Wow – what a night! Everyone really enjoyed themselves – I had no idea a brass band could play so much modern music! We all had a good boogie and it made the evening so much fun. We will definitely book you again for our beer festival next year.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Our standard line-up is 25 ish brass players + percussion and a conductor, but we can also offer smaller ensembles of around 5 or 10 for a more cosy or intimate setting.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We have a band CD which you can play as background music should you wish.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually like to arrive an hour before our first set and aim to be set up within 30 minutes, but we can be flexible if needed.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Most of our engagements are fully seated, however we are (with notice) sometimes able to change this, just let us know what you have in mind.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We have a vast music library built up over 100+ years of the band's life with thousands of pieces and we're sure we have something suitable for every occasion. We're more than happy to share some of our (and our clients) favourites with you to find the perfect set list for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Unfortunately we don't have an in-house PA or lighting set up, but all of the equipment we need to perform with (except chairs) is included in our quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

The short answer is "usually, yes"! However we'd need plenty of notice to allow time to source and rehearse the music. There would be an additional fee for each special request, which would depend on if the music is already published for brass bands or whether we'd have to do it ourselves. Just let us know what you have in mind and we'll see what we can do.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our clients and audiences love our versatility, musicality and entertainment value.
