Cathal Herron is a pianist, composer, improviser based in London and the South West. He trained as a jazz pianist at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music as a South Square Trust scholar, and has performed at established venues and festivals across the UK, including the Southbank Centre, the UK Boogie Woogie Festival and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, as well as being a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. Cathal is an experienced and versatile musician with a vast repertoire perfect for your event or venue!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes absolutely! This is a really popular request and I offer this service for free.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as the PA is set up I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes absolutely! I am happy to talk through and create unique set lists catered to your event!

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own Nord keyboard and PA system.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you, up to a maximum of 5 songs!
