Looking for a world-class soprano to take your event to the next level? As a classically trained singer, I have performed at some of the UK's top venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall. I have had the privilege of working with world-renowned orchestras and conductors, including Sir Andrew Davies, Gianandrea Noseda, and Paul Daniel. I sing at many kinds of events including concerts with choral societies, male voice choirs, orchestras and opera companies, as well as music and arts festivals, galas and charity events, weddings and funerals. My wide repertoire includes classical and operatic pieces, music theatre, film themes, ballads and traditional folk songs, but I'm always open to singing other genres as well. With my extensive knowledge of performing at events and my passion for music, you can trust that you will have a seamless and unforgettable experience when you work with me. I have also recorded at studios such as Abbey Road and Maida Vale with groups such as the BBC Singers, London Voices and Vocals Unlimited. I now have my own recording studio and enjoy collaborating with clients from all over the world, bringing their musical visions to life. My formal biography below showcases my rich background in opera, concert performances, and session singing, including collaborations with well-known vocal coaches and artists. Formal biography: Caroline's varied singing career began after graduating with a music degree, specialising in composition, from Durham University. With an impressive list of operatic roles, she has portrayed the lead character in Tosca for Heritage Opera, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan Tutte for Opera UK and Birmingham Chamber Orchestra, and Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte for British Youth Opera and Surrey Opera, among others. Caroline's versatility as a performer is showcased in her numerous lead roles in productions such as La Cenerentola, L'elisir d'amore, Rigoletto, and La Traviata, and in world premieres such as John Whittaker's The Three Wayfarers for Opera Anywhere. Caroline's concert performances have taken her to prestigious venues including the Royal Albert, Birmingham Symphony, Cadogan and Queen Elizabeth Halls. She has also impressed audiences with her solo performances of works such as Brahms' Requiem, Mahler's Symphony No.4, Mozart's Exsultate, Jubilate, Vivaldi's Gloria, Handel's Messiah, Schubert's Magnificat, and Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder. In addition to her live performances, Caroline has lent her voice to recordings as a session singer with renowned choirs such as the BBC Singers, London Voices, Vocals Unlimited and RSVP Voices. Her proficiency extends online where she records her voice and compositions for clients from all over the globe. Caroline and her husband Darren are also an accomplished international performing duo, known as Trovatori, who combine their voices with self-penned classical guitar arrangements. Caroline's talent has been honed by an impressive group of coaches and mentors including David Syrus, Mary King, Anthony Legge, Donald Maxwell, Lada Valešová, and Steven Maughan. Caroline continues to refine her craft through her vocal studies with Arwel Treharne Morgan.

Caroline was amazing singing at my wedding. From start to finish I knew I didn't have to worry about anything and that it would be perfect, and it was. I cannot thank her and Darren enough and will highly recommend them to friends and family.

Caroline was fantastic, wow, so impressed, please don't hesitate, you won't be sorry, I don't like to use the phase value for money but she far out stripped my expectations, she should be charging £1000's, she was so friendly and sorted everything out with the vicar and organist, my Dad would have loved her but as she sang like an angel maybe he did.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

They love the extra element that a live performance brings to their event - there's nothing like the human voice to move people, whether it's a concert, party, wedding or a funeral. Clients have commented on my versatility as I can offer a wide repertoire for any occasion. I'm also very personable and love chatting with people before and after a performance!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Birmingham Symphony Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, BBC Maida Vale Studios, Abbey Road Studios

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I have an eclectic taste in music! Classically I love to listen to Angela Gheorghiu, Leontyne Price, Maria Callas and Birgitte Nielsen among others. When it comes to more contemporary music I love female singer-songwriters such as Kate Bush, Bjork and Tori Amos.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Performing as the soprano soloist in Brahms' Requiem at Birmingham Symphony Hall! I've also performed at the Royal Albert Hall with the BBC Singers and BBC Symphony Orchestra, and this year I'm singing at the Royal Festival Hall with the Philharmonia Orchestra as part of London Voices.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I'll do my best to accommodate any changes to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I can provide an iPod service between sets if desired.

How much time do you need to set up?

If performing acoustically I will only need 10-15 minutes to get set up; if performing with PA I will need 20-30 minutes to set up my equipment and perform a sound check.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely - clients are welcome to pick any of the pieces they would like to hear from my song list. Otherwise I'm happy to put together an appropriate set list based on my years of experience performing at different events.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes - I usually perform without PA for classical concerts, recitals and church events. However I can provide a small PA system (for up to 200 guests) to perform at larger venues and events.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Of course - if it's something that I'll be able to sing then I'm happy to learn any specific song requests for an additional £30 per song (to account for my learning and rehearsal times, etc.).
