Carlos is a versatile saxophone player available for any kind of event, playing along with backing tracks, DJs or as a session player.

Born in Buenos Aires Argentina, Carlos has developed the love for music at an early stage, inspired by his father who used to play classical guitar. In 2004 he started his career as a Saxophone player, at the Julian Aguirre Musical classical conservatory, where he learned classical saxophone and music theory. During his career, he has shown interest in popular music like Jazz, Tango, Latin music and more; in 2006 he studied with Jorge Retamoza - one of the greatest saxophone players in Argentina, and later he joined the Buenos Aires's Mega Big Band to continue his career as a professional saxophone player. Following that, Carlos played with a number of bands and artists across Argentina. In 2010 he moved to the UK and since then played for Kalakuta Afrobeat (lead by Emeka Elendu, Fela Kuti's guitar player) Olubundi, Newbrezze, Soulnaturals, Kix Bigbang, Portland Place Big band, 2tones Beyond, Francesca Mondi. Currently, Carlos is a member of Das Brass playing the baritone/tenor saxophone.

I have been playing with Carlos since the 2011 in different projects from the Afrobeat to the main stream jazz and I have always enjoyed his sense of style and his tone on all the instruments he plays (tenor sax, baritone sax, flute). He has a great sense of rhythm and an excellent sight-reading, bringing always confidence and joy in all the horn sections he joins. He is also a great soloist with a superb sense of melody.

As a band leader in a very busy jazz standards quartet, I kind of expect dep players to know the tunes, front up the band and play well. Carlos does all of those things consummately but brings alot more to the band - he is open to new ways of playing old tunes, ready to try new ideas. He laughs as well as he blows and lightens the mood in the band even when we are working hard. Maybe its the things that he DOESN'T do - solo too much, insist on the band playing it all his way, pocket the cash and disappear - that make him our first call over all the other horn players out there. Recommended. John Hartley Love For Sale We've used him a few times and we'll be using him again.
