Customer questions
Can you perform covers?
As professional musicians we can accommodate requests to a point bybprior arrangement however please bear in mind that a ceilidh band is quite liited inn its ability to play current chrts etc.
Do you have different line-up options?
We can provide a violin soloist, accordion soloist and supplement the band with singers/keyboards etc when the occasion arises
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We re flexible withinn reason and can usually accommodate the odd hour here or there as we know that things dont always run to plan - especially when speeched are involved or waiting for the arrival of people etc but it obviously has to be reasonble! The more notice we have of programme changes the better of course!
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes - either a pre-mixed set of recorded music or else a live DJ input. Usually the pre-recorded set is best as it means the band gets a break too.
How much time do you need to set up?
Ideally at least one of the band will arrive about 2hrs prior to the event (usually the drummer) to set up drums and sound. For some venues we may conduct a quick look round the day before or so. We always need to have a walk round if we are using venue sound and lighting equipment.
Do you provide a caller?
Yes - two of the band are experienced callers
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Pur set are usually gered to what works - however we can always integrate the occasional reuest whether it is on our set list or not. The set list is pretty universal though and you can let us know what you would like included.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?
We can provide all sound equipment for small to medium venues - all PAT tested - free of charge.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
Yes within reason - not every song fits with a ceilidh band. If you have a request please talk to us about it and together we can decide hether it is a yes or no. Please not we do not do unrehearsed song reuests for singers etc at the event.
