About Camden Symphony Orchestra

Symphony orchestra
London

Camden Symphony Orchestra is one of London's leading non-professional orchestras. Under our Musical Director Levon Parikian, CSO seeks to combine the familiar staples of the classical and romantic repertoire with less well-known and more challenging works. Founded as Camden Chamber Orchestra, we rebranded as Camden Symphony Orchestra in 2013 to reflect the orchestra's size and repertoire. Recent concert programmes have included Beethoven's Symphony No 9, Elgar's Enigma Variations and works by Arnold, Brahms, Glazunov and Janáček. We're proud to work with top soloists, with highlights in the past year including Bartók Viola Concerto, Dvořák's Cello Concerto and Strauss' Oboe Concerto. We also perform regularly with our friends at Islington Choral Society giving us the opportunity to perform a diverse range of choral works such as Mozart's Requiem, Poulenc's Gloria and Handel's Messiah. We look forward to seeing you at our next concert, and we're always pleased to hear from instrumentalists keen to play with us.
