I’m a musician who hears emotion. A carpenter of words, a tuneful philosopher. Or to put it another, more professional way: UK based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Callum Ripley has established a reputation as a charismatic live performer eagerly willing to share his mixture of melodic falsetto and word play over rhythmical acoustic guitar with an audience. Endeavouring to develop his alternative-folk sound he studied under renowned music tutors such as Jayne Marshall, Kaya Herstad-Carney & Steve Giles (vocals), Tim Hawes (songwriting) and Adam Pain and John Gallen (production), to name a few influential mentors, at The Academy of Contemporary Music. Raring to go, Callum Ripley’s aspirations are to share music that is steeped in real, sometime uncomfortable emotions to connect and empathise with an audience. Artists that have had a profound affect on him and his work include; John Lennon, Glen Hansard, Damien Rice, Chris Martin, Joe Cocker and Adam Duritz.
