Callum Maciver

Callum is a musical composer, performer, director and teacher. He graduated from Coventry University in 2016 with a First Class BA Hons Degree in Music Composition and is currently completing his masters degree in Music Education. His instrumental specialism include voice, piano, guitar and the ukulele; the latter of which he is currently using to develop a new learning program for new musicians as part of his masters degree. Last July, he performed at Godiva Festival 2017, headlining the acoustic stage with his five piece Pop/Funk/Party band 'The Upsiders' in which he sings lead vocals, plays ukulele and extended percussion. Callum also has a strong love of theater; he has worked on creative projects with Frantic Assembly and Theater Royal Plymouth, as well as adopting the role of Music Director for the Coventry University Musical Theater Society where he directed a production of Guys and Dolls, in addition to other musical showcases. His most recent creative activities include developing his first concept album titled 'Heads and Tales' as well as co-writing and producing The Upsiders debut EP
