Brooke Hirst

Born in Manchester in 1995, Brooke started to play the piano at the age of 10. From 2015 to 2018, she studied towards her Bachelor of Arts (hons) degree at the University of Liverpool. Her teachers included Tom Kimmance, Tony Shorrocks, and Dr. Monica Esslin-Peard. In 2012, she participated in Xaverian College’s Young Musician of the Year competition where she performed repertoire by Chopin, Beethoven and Mozart. In 2017, she performed works by Beethoven and Glinka at the Leggate Theatre of the Victoria Gallery and Museum in Liverpool. As well as solo performance, Brooke has experience in accompanying for choir performances and variety shows; in December 2016, she volunteered to accompany the NHS Choir for their Christmas charity showcase. Alongside her performing career, she works as a private piano teacher, tutoring over twenty students. In addition to this, she leads a weekly beginner's piano and keyboard skills workshop for the University of Liverpool's Continuing Education Department. Brooke has also worked as the music teacher at Crossley Manor SEN School since May 2018. Brooke continues to study at the University of Liverpool towards her masters degree.
