Primarily a live performer I sing everything from folk and blues/jazz to rock with pop, r&b, reggae and gospel in between.
According to my parents I started singing along to music at home when I was very little instead of speaking. But it was when I was asked to sing Robert Burns at a school concert aged 15 that it became clear to me that singing was more than just a hobby. Since then I have gone on to sing at folk sessions and open mic around the area at every opportunity, before joining an Edinburgh-based blues band when I started college. This exposed me to the Edinburgh music scene and into some of the finest music venues to work with some of Edinburgh's finest musicians. I enjoy performing live at every opportunity but am also comfortable in the studio. I have recorded my debut album, The Gathering together with my partner who accompanied me as well as producing it. Though my first love is still the blues I also perform folk songs up to six nights a week at the Taste of Scotland Show during the season (Easter to October). The rest of the year I can be found gigging wherever and whenever I can. One of my highlights is to have shared a stage with the King of the Blues Gregg Wright who was Michael Jackson's lead guitarist.
