Breakout are a 3-piece electro-acoustic ensemble, playing a mix of classic pop, rock, ballads and blues, (and whatever else may fire them up at rehearsal). Originally formed in 2020 as 4 piece, Breakout immediately went into COVID hibernation for 18 months, re-emerging as a 3 piece ensemble in 2021. From their very first performance they have been in constant demand, particularly for smaller more intimate events. Private parties, club events, open air performances, they can tailor the performance to meet your requirements. BREAKOUT are: EMMA - Lead Vocals / Percussion FRANK - Guitar / Ukulele / Vocals / Percussion JAMES - Guitar / Bass / Vocals The beautiful hypnotic voice of the amazing Emma Hope can stir a long forgotten memory, make you smile or bring a tear to your eye. She can just as easily have you jumping to your feet to dance the night away. With a eclectic repertoire from rock to ballads, we can mix and match to meet your needs. Small enough to fit in your living room or fill a large venue. If quality is more important than volume, then Breakout is the band for you.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is: James Read: Bass, Guitar and vocals. Emma Read: Vocals. Frank Boydell: Guitar, Ukulele, Percussion & Vocals.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. Let us know if you have a preferred musical genre.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. This allows time for sound checks to ensure you get the best sound quality.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Not normally. However, we could perform acoustically if required.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Being recently formed, our set list is still growing, however, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our own PA system is included in the quote. Currently we don't have a lighting system. Being a trio we don't need a huge space to play, but 2m x 3m would be the minimum.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to explore the possibility - time permitting. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
