Joel and Tia are talented performers. Working together, they form a sensational Brass and Piano duo. Both highly trained classical musicians, they bring you their own unique take on much-loved music, executed with class and elegance! As experienced performers, they have entertained audiences worldwide, and have had the privilege of playing their music to members of the Royal Family. They thoroughly enjoy performing and engaging with their audiences. Individually, they have worked with top international orchestras, including the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Outside of Britain, Joel has performed with the Australian National Ballet, the Australian Urban Circus, and has toured with numerous professional show companies. Between them they have released 5 albums, spanning many musical genres from Baroque and Classical to modern-day favourites. Their debut duo album, ‘A Perfect Unison’, was released in Spring 2018 and they hope to release a new album in Summer 2026.

Joel and Tia are a delight to work with; enthusiastic, courteous and so helpful with planning the evening which went perfectly.  All the audience much enjoyed their musicality and versatility.  Their professionalism is obvious and the quality of music was superb.  We will definitely be asking them to return. St Peter’s Church, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We are a married couple and love making music together.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Many churches, arts centres, and private houses. On a bigger scale, we've performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the UK... The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Bath Abbey etc

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Performing for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry at Bath Abbey.

Do you have different line-up options?

No. Brass & Ivories is a brass and piano duo.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

As long as your new requirements are within the timeframe previously agreed, (e.g, 2 x 40-minute sets between 2-4pm), we can be flexible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We don't provide this service. However, clients are welcome to use our microphone if they wish to make announcements, during the time we are there.

How much time do you need to set up?

As long as there is a power supply, 20-30 minute set up time is normal.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We can help you decide on the best location for us to be set up, (visually and audibly), but we can not roam.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Providing your booking is more than 3 months prior to the event, we include in your booking one piece of your choice, (a favourite popular classic, song from a musical, or pop tune etc). We choose an appropriate selection of music for the rest of the sets... something for everyone!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We bring all of our own equipment. However we will need a power socket and sufficient lighting, and, if the event is outside, we require shelter from the elements, (can't get rain on the instruments)
