London

Bram Mulders is a Dutch classical pianist based in the UK and Norway. At the age of 18 Bram received the Anders Vangen scholarship and had his concerto debut with Telemark Symphony Orchestra playing Grieg a-minor concerto. After studying at Toneheim he began his undergraduate studies in piano performance at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, under the tutelage of English pianist Kathryn Stott, and in June 2022 Bram finished his postgraduate degree at Guildhall School of Music and Drama graduating with first class honors, studying with pianists Charles Owen and Katya Apekisheva. Bram has been part of prestigious masterclasses with performers such as Nino Gvetadze, Lars Anders Tomter, Eldar Nebolsin to name a few, and had the privilege to be selected to work with Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Tamara Stefanovich on the music of O. Messiaen at the Ultima Contemporary Music Festival in 2018 and 2019. As a solo-pianist and active chamber musician, Bram enjoys working on a wide range of repertoire, from classical to contemporary, and particularly enjoys programming music of lesser-known composers. He has live recordings to be released from his concert at The State 51 Conspiracy, where he presented a program of J.S. Bach, Amy Beach and Norwegian contemporary composer Lasse Thoresen which was livestreamed and produced at their space in Shoreditch. Chamber music festival appearances include Hvide Sande Masterclass in Denmark, Fjord Classics in Sandefjord, Norway, BachPlus concert series in London and Cranborne Chase Chamber Music Festival in Dorset where he performed as part of The Kooning Ensemble piano quartet.

I worked with Bram as part of a theatrical collaboration during the VAULT festival. He is a talented, hard-working, and exceptionally musical pianist. In leading on the sound design and musical work for the project, he both brought considerable expertise in classical music to the production and fostered a creative atmosphere in rehearsals. I can definitively recommend working with Bram for artistic projects and as an all around performer!

I have collaborated with Bram on a number of piano duo projects and he is a very creative pianist with good musical sense and a high attention to detail. He is especially skilled at playing chamber music as he is excellent at bringing musical ideas to life with others. Playing with him has brought my musical practice to a higher level and I still go to his concerts to hear him perform.
