Bold Big Band

Bold Big Band was formed in 2017 and has been filling dance floors across the North East. We're a full 18-piece jazz orchestra and winners of the Great North Big Band Jazz Festival, where we've also collected the Best Programme award and several Adjudicators' Awards. Add in our sell-out shows at the Newcastle Fringe Festival, and it's clear we know how to entertain a crowd! With five saxophones, four trumpets, four trombones, a full rhythm section, and our wonderful singer, we bring an excitement nothing else can match. We can provide a range of offerings for your event. Whether you want a traditional big band sound (think Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra), or some modern classics (Michael Bublé, RAYE, Laufey), we can pull together the perfect setlist. We love bringing the whole band with us, but appreciate space can sometimes be limited. This is where we can offer our smaller 8-piece ensemble for the more personal touch. Don't worry, we can still pack a punch and get the dance floor full to the brim! We regularly perform all over the North East and are happy to travel across the UK for your event.
