We play finger-snappin' swing and super-smooth bossa-nova grooves that sit perfectly in the background, never overpowering conversation. We've bought our sound to many of London's most exclusive members' clubs (Home House, The Devonshire Club & L'Escargot), several FTSE 250 companies and even to private parties in the South of France! The quartet are led by drummer Robert Pokorny and percussionist Jason Ribeiro; two hard-working London musicians who wanted to tackle the age-old problem of finding the right music for when guests are chatting, dining or drinking. Together with upright-bass and a full-bodied jazz guitar, we deliver a sound that mixes smokey 60's jazz LPs with mellow Latin grooves.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely, as long as you have your own music system that we can plug into. Otherwise, we have the option of PA hire for before and after the performance.

How much time do you need to set up?

We're an equipment-light band; we don't need a PA system or carry lots of bulky gear. We can setup within 30 minutes and are able to do so discretely (and without the need for a soundcheck) if the event is underway.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We don't require a PA system to perform, as we are often used for providing background music that doesn't get in the way of conversation. We are able to provide a PA system to speeches and announcements for an additional fee. Please see more details below.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We're an instrumental quartet, but happy to learn up to three songs before the event.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We pride ourselves on playing music that won't get in the way of conversation. We like to say you can be sitting right next to the band and still chat! Not only that, we also can fit into tiny spaces (including kitchens - yes, we've done it!)

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

A long list of London members' clubs including Home House, The Devonshire Club and L'Escargot. Functions at Holland House and residencies at top cocktail bar The Nighjar.
