Formed in 2023, The Blue Danube Jazz Trio is a dynamic ensemble of three friends, two hailing from Hungary and one from Australia. Influenced by "Stan Getz With The Oscar Peterson Trio," they bring a fresh interpretation to the American Song Book, seasonal favorites, and pop tunes. With a shared passion for the jazz tradition, this trio promises a captivating musical journey through their unique blend of talent, camaraderie, and international influences. Matyas Gayer - Piano Virtuoso Based in London, Matyas Gayer is a Hungarian jazz pianist and a two-time Montreux Jazz Piano Competition finalist. His unique style, deeply rooted in the jazz piano tradition, has earned him acclaim. Matyas has collaborated with jazz greats like Eddie Henderson, Scott Hamilton, and Don Braden. With a live album recorded at Pizza Express, Soho, and upcoming releases with renowned UK jazz legends, bassist Dave Green and drummer Steve Brown, Matyas is a rising force in the jazz scene. Matyas Hofecker - Bass Maestro Matyas Hofecker, a prominent bassist based in London, is a force among the younger generation of jazz musicians in Europe. Influenced by jazz giants like Paul Chambers, he has toured with the Harold Mabern Trio, recorded with Sheila Jordan, and performed with jazz luminaries such as Joe Farnsworth and Jesse Davis. Currently a member of the Stacey Kent Band and other notable ensembles, Matyas is recognized for his passion for straight-ahead jazz. Duncan Hemstock - Saxophone & Clarinet Wizard Hailing from Adelaide, Australia, Duncan Hemstock is a skilled clarinet and saxophone player now based in London. Inspired by legends like Benny Goodman and Lester Young, Duncan is known for his passion for swing music. A specialist in providing music for Lindy hop dancers, he has performed at many jazz and dance festivals worldwide. Duncan's energetic performances and joie de vivre make him a standout musician in the jazz scene.
