About BlackRock Ceilidh

Ceilidh band
Public liability insurance of £2 million

BlackRock Ceilidh evolved from an earlier band with a slight line up change 12 years ago this year and have been very busy ever since . We perform Ceilidh, Celtic, Covers and Original material for Functions, weddings , celebrations, Corporate events, Festivals and Pub , Music venue and Hotel gigs. We can perform as a 3, 4 ,or 5 piece line up performing a 3 and a half hour set and can cater for dance calling. longer sets are no problem by arrangement. The band plays all over the UK and has appeared at many Scottish festivals over the years. We have the luxury of 2 composers, 2 song writers and a sound / recording engineer within the line up which allows us to produce new music all the time. The line up can include Up to 3 vocalists ( generally 2 ) Guitars, fiddle, accordion, mandolin, tenor banjo, small pipes, bagpipes, saxophone, drums and bass. We are very conscious of our customers needs and have our own p.a. set up. We arrive on time set up sound check prior to commencement and perform a set to cater for all ages. We also have the facility to allow client to run their own i,pod / phone favourites mix through our p.a. during any breaks. Above all we are committed to craic as we all love what we do.

Sept 2016 Clan Grant Ceilidh – The Grant Arms Hotel , Grantown on Spey Dear BlackRock Ceilidh I have had housefuls of visitors since we saw you at the Clan Grant Ceilidh, so I apologize for not writing to thank you sooner. It was just brilliant to have you all – a wonderful evening – I wish you could have been at our AGM the next day, one of our members (who had not been there) was a bit dreary about having you guys and how all the others who had been there immediately said it was the BEST thing that they had had for ages!! Loved the piping duo! I believe Patrick has booked you for next year – at the heartfelt request of the members – let us hope I can get them to be a little more active! Please pass my thanks to all of the Band – it was just great! Fiona Fiona Grant Chairman Clan Grant Society UK
