In 2022, they set up Cool Ceilidhs for Kids, which provided workshops to Black Isle families with primary-age children, supported by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland. The Black Isle Ceilidh Band promotes an open and inclusive ethos at all their events. The Black Isle Ceilidh Band have a diverse repertoire of dances, including all the classics such as the Canadian Barn Dance, Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant, Military Two Step, Strip the Willow….The band would normally include a few new ceilidh dances that you may not have done before, as well as some fun dances for families if children are taking part. The band also perform traditional Scottish and Irish songs, should you wish to take a short break from dancing at any point.
