All five members of BitterSweet currently study Popular Music in the University of Gloucestershire. Formed in the first week, the band are very passionate and love what they do. Members: The band is made up of Hannah Scadding, lead singer. Hannah is an 18 year old student from Bristol and has always had a strong passion for music. Hannah loves soul and pop music but is eager to engage with different styles. Her powerhouse of a voice matches perfectly with the band's style. Next is Chloe Bourne, lead guitarist and backing vocalist. She is an 18 year old student from South Wales. Chloe has been doing music since the age of 12, and now loves nothing more than to play guitar and sing. Her style of playing is typically laid back, ballad songs however she can pull out an energetic lively performance when asked to do so. The band also has Lily Grant, keys. Lily is a 20 year old student from Weston-super-mare and has a gorgeous playing style. Lily is everything you could want in a pianist and adds an elegance to the band they didn't know they needed. On bass guitar is Neo Lyons-Singh, an 18 year old student from Dudley, Birmingham. Neo is a bubbly, enthusiastic bassist who puts all her efforts into making BitterSweet what it is. Finally is Samuel Holden, drums. Sam is also an 18 year old student, from Portsmouth. It's been said that Sam is a drummer like no other. Sam is the most recent member of BitterSweet but fits in as if he's always been there. The band have said they've been lucky to find him as Sam is such a perfect fit. Experience: As a recently formed band, BitterSweet are yet to venture out far outside of Cheltenham, but are eager to get going and gig! BitterSweet have recently supported the band 'TOAST' in their single release gig on Halloween. They have also gigged in places such as The Frog and Fiddle and Smokey Joe's; popular and well-known venues around Cheltenham. The members have also plenty of experience before the band, with Neo Lyons-Singh having played at Mayfly Festival 2021 and 2022 and Chloe Bourne in the Royal Albert Hall in London and Hannah Scadding having performed at Bristol Hippodrome and Her Majesty's Theatre along with plenty other experience coming from each of them.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

As a professional band, we're aware of what is expected of us. Who you see in the videos, Hannah Scadding is our lead vocalist and would be performing with us at your event. No one else unless there were an emergency, in which we would discuss this with you privately.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is as follows: Vocals, Backing Vocals and Guitar, Keys, Drums and Bass.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We try our best to remain flexible to ensure your event runs smoothly, however if times change sightly, please let us know in advance as we have commitments, as students, to our studies.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about an hour and a half before performance time. We can have additional music playing through a phone as we set up if guests are unable to be in a different place during this time.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists have been made to suit us and our band and style, however we are more than open to suggestions and ideas to find what works best for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We will bring our instruments however other equipment will be discussed upon question. As students it is difficult to get around, we will be able to bring some additional equipment upon hire from the university, this can be discussed privately.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you.
