Billie & Burnheart

Billie & Burnheart met on the jazz course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2013. They started their duo in their third year of study and the collaboration continues to develop and grow in personality. The duo works in an intimate setting as well as an eye catcher at a busier event. Billie’s classic soulful voice floats and combines with the layers of the violin which is then embellished with percussion and backing vocals. Billie can be found regularly singing at the Ned, the Mayfair, Park Chinois and many other high end London clubs and restaurants in different formations as she is one of London's top jazz singers. Johanna Burnheart is more active in the crossover new jazz scene and can be found playing with different bands and DJs all over London's jazz clubs and Europewide. As Billie & Burnheart are core musicians of the London jazz scene, they have many other musicians on the books to join if the event in question is looking for a bigger sound. Most prominently the double bass suits the sound very well but guitar, piano and or drums are also very easily added to the lineup. Please note, Burnheart used to collaborate with another fabulous singer called Appolonie who can be heard on the promo material. Appolonie has sadly left London so Billie is the current lead singer.
