About Big Ship Alliance

#Unique authentic reggae band in the West Midlands. Guaranteed to bring the sunshine and vibe of the Caribbean to your event!
Reggae band
Birmingham
Public liability insurance of £5 million

The Big Ship Alliance is a unique, authentic reggae band of eight experienced and professional musicians. In 2019, Ebony, a talented bass guitar player, and Asha, a skilled percussionist and vocalist, co-founded the band. We embarked on our musical journey from humble beginnings, culminating in our first electrifying gig on January 4, 2020, at The Heartlands Banqueting Suite in Birmingham. Our band is a testament to the power of diversity, with members of various ages and backgrounds, each bringing a wealth of reggae experience to the table. The Quality and experience of our musicians: The band members consist of musicians who have toured many parts of the world, including playing in the Sydney Opera House (Australia) with Pato Banton & The Reggae Revolution Band - touring with Apache Indian, Ranking Roger & The Beat, Musical Youth, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Steel Pulse, The Marley Family, Morgan Heritage, Aswad, Maxi Priest, Shaggy and many more. They have experience in various genres, including reggae, jazz, and soul. We are an energetic band with a charismatic frontman. Our show emanates a spirit of positivity, joy, and well-being, which touches the audience. We take pride in performing authentic reggae music. Besides, we work hard to ensure we give our best, thus creating that wow factor for our audience. We also perform original songs. We have performed at the following festivals and venues in the last year: Simmer Down Festival, Birmingham The MAC (Outdoor event) - Birmingham The Jam House, Birmingham The Robin2, Bilston  The Hare & Hounds, Kings Heath, Bham The Lounge Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield, Hockley Social Club, Birmingham Fletcher's Bar, Kings Heath, Bham Dulcie's Bar, Cannock Babar Cafe, Hereford Tickles Music Hall, Bradford The Button Factory, Birmingham The Night Owl, Birmingham The Bear Tavern, Bearwood Smethwick The Pavilions Social Club, Kingshurst, Birmingham

Big Ship Alliance are not just an amazing upbeat band full of energy, they all have outstanding talent in their own rights. I have been to many of their shows and each brings something different. You cannot help but be absorbed in to the music from the very start. They continue to evolve, adding new songs to their set. Even if you do not know the songs, you will be swept away by the fresh, mesmerising music and vibe. Feeling rejuvenated and joyful when you leave. Once you join the "Big Ship Family" you will never look back and will want to go back for more. After all "we're all in this together" So if you have not jumped on board before, what are you waiting for?
