What Have They Done Before? Big Hair was conceived in November 2006, professional singers, dancers and musicians whilst working on other peoples projects, decided to join forces and create the band. Their policy is to provide dynamic entertainment with just a twist of humour and kitsch! Throw in some wicked dance moves,glam and glitter and Big Hair is born. They launched early 2007 and it's been growing ever since!! Creators Miles, Chloe and Vikki have a varied and long relationship with the stage: Miles(vocals) has played lead roles in such musicals as Joseph, Phantom, Rocky Horror Show, Hot Stuff, Hedwig, City Of Angels and is an Olivier Award winner for Pageant. A compere for various cabarets and shows, writer, panto regular and also a tribute act. Chloe(vocals) has toured extensively with various 60s, 70s and 80s shows including The Elvis Years, but is more well known as one of the principal singers with the Elio Pace Band who are currently Terry Wogans house band on his BBC Radio 2 weekend show Vikki(vocals) is a successful performer and credits include Thriller, Dancing In The Streets, Blood Brothers, Summer Holiday and Jailhouse Rock. What Sort Of Music Do They Play? Big Hair performs the best from the 60's, 70's and 80's but over the years we have added songs more up to date as people have requested them. So now our repertoire is very extensive....soul, rock, disco, pop and a big dollop of cheese to top it off! We aim to keep people on their feet and we don't take 'no' for an answer! What will the band look like? Big Hair and its acts have a very strong visual image and dress according to the bands code and retro fashion....after all it's party time!...so no formal wear here! Look, style, show and colour go hand in hand so if you want to dance, here's your answer! Your Event We can naturally provide music between sets if required through iPod and mics are available for use if required. With our two different sizes of PA, we can cater for any size venue and always try to adjust to peoples needs.
