All the musicians who play with the Kavanagh Ensemble are at the height of their profession, performing on a daily basis with all of the Irish Orchestras as well as performing and recording with artists such as Katie Melua, Westlife, The Priests, Shirley Bassey, Katherine Jenkins, Belle & Sebastian, Celtic Woman and Andrea Bocelli.
With over seven years experience providing string groups for nearly 300 events, we look forward to playing for your big day. We will walk you through every step, from deciding on the ensemble that will suit your venue and budget, to helping with the music choices.
We offer packages for Church, Receptions, Civil and Humanist Weddings, as well as Corporate functions and recording sessions.
The Kavanagh Ensemble was founded in 2010 by Beth McNinch, Principal Viola of the Wexford Festival Opera Orchestra and Artistic Director of Musici Ireland, one of the country’s leading chamber ensembles. Beth studied in London where she went on to work with the London Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, to name but a few.
Her experience shines through as the principal contact of the Kavanagh Ensemble and her passion for music is evident in all her endeavours.
The Kavanagh Ensemble chose their name in recognition of the great Irish poet Patrick Kavanagh, in particular, his poem "On Raglan Road". Famously, this was set to music by Luke Kelly of the Dubliners.
