Ben is a trumpeter and musician based in the North East of England. His extensive playing career spans most genres of music and he enjoys a diverse career playing with many different ensembles and as a soloist. Having read music at Huddersfield University Ben continued his passion for music by co-setting up both an orchestra and a Brass Quintet. He continues his work on the orchestral scenes by playing with several orchestras in the North East and manages the Quintet Argento Brass. When not performing with these he is often invited to play with several big bands and show bands drawing upon his vast experience as a session musician. As a soloist Ben enjoys playing alongside choirs and other musicians performing works from Handel’s Messiah to Andrew Lloyd Webber. Undertaking special requests Ben draws upon his arranging skills that started with Brass Quintet music and has branched out to solo trumpet with piano and much further. As an arranger Ben’s music continues to challenge and inspire musicians from all over the country. When not performing Ben uses his valued skills to put on workshops and teaching for all ages and abilities. His Brass workshops that run throughout the North are developing a keen interest throughout the region and inspiring adults and children alike.
