Alongside her classical training and extensive experience as an orchestra and chamber musician, Benan creates unique solo performances using live looping technology — layering acoustic cello sounds in real time to create rich, atmospheric music as a solo performer. Her repertoire ranges from elegant classical works such as Bach Cello Suites, to romantic waltzes, jazz-inspired improvisation, ambient lounge music, film soundtracks, and contemporary songs arranged for cello. She enjoys adapting each performance to the atmosphere of the event, whether it calls for sophisticated background music, emotional ceremony moments, or modern and uplifting energy. Benan regularly performs for weddings, receptions, restaurants, and special occasions throughout London and surrounding areas. She can provide her own professional sound equipment and is available both as a solo performer and in collaboration with other musicians if requested. We had the most amazing day and Benan was fantastic - her playing definitely brought out the emotion in our ceremony and was a lovely backing to our drinks reception. Our guests all commented on how fantastic she was. This was also a last minute booking due to a previous cancellation, Benan was very accommodating and helpful in the lead up to our wedding day, so can't thank her enough for that! 😊

This was such a lovely idea we are so glad that could work out at the last minute. We had an early morning registration period with long lines and wanted something soothing, and relaxing for our guests to listen to that was not a DJ. Having Benan come to play was the perfect fit and it sounded amazing inside the tent. Thank you for accepting our last minute booking and being such an amazing musician!

A few months ago, I had the immense pleasure of experiencing a performance by Benan at Kibele. It fell in love with her music at first sight, and I am still in awe of the sheer brilliance and artistry displayed on stage.
