Biography – Ben Staz My name is Ben Staz, and I’m a solo male vocalist based in Cheshire with one clear mission every time I step on stage: to deliver a show that leaves people talking long after the last song has ended. Music has been part of me for as long as I can remember, but my journey really began at the age of twelve. That’s when I discovered my voice – and with it, my love for the kind of big, emotional songs that stop people in their tracks. Power ballads became my world, and from an early age I realised that singing wasn’t just something I enjoyed; it was something I needed to do. I’ve always been drawn to the singers who don’t just perform songs but bring them to life with every note – artists like Whitney Houston, Tom Jones, and even the operatic force of Pavarotti. Their passion, their power, and their sheer ability to move an audience inspired me to explore the full range of my own voice. Over time, I found that what people responded to most in me was that same kind of raw, passionate delivery: vocals that could soar, command attention, and fill a room. That’s why I proudly call myself a power vocalist. But while I’ve always loved those big numbers, my sets are far from one-dimensional. I know that every great night out is built on variety, energy, and keeping the audience engaged from start to finish. That’s why my typical setlist is packed with upbeat songs from across the decades – the kind of tunes that get people dancing, singing along, and letting loose. From timeless classics to modern chart hits, I make sure there’s something for everyone. I want every person in the room – no matter their age or taste – to walk away saying, “That was a brilliant night.” I perform across pubs, clubs, corporate events, and weddings, and I take pride in adapting my performance to suit the occasion. In a lively pub, it’s all about energy and crowd connection – singing the songs that people can’t resist belting out with me. At weddings, I know it’s about creating memories: from powerful ballads that bring emotion to the room, to floor-fillers that make the evening party unforgettable. At corporate events, I bring polish, professionalism, and the ability to entertain a diverse audience. Every show has its own atmosphere, and I love the challenge of reading a crowd and giving them exactly what they need in the moment. One of the things that makes me stand out as a performer is that I don’t just turn up and sing – I put on a show. Vocals are at the heart of what I do, but I combine that with personality, presence, and engagement. I’m not the type of singer who hides behind the microphone stand. I like to interact, to laugh with the crowd, and to make sure everyone feels like part of the performance. For me, music is about connection. Alongside my singing, I also offer a DJ service, which makes me a versatile choice for venues and private events. It means I can provide the full night’s entertainment, keeping the atmosphere alive from the first song to the final track of the evening. Whether I’m belting out a ballad, leading a dance-along classic, or spinning tunes from behind the decks, my goal is always the same: to keep the energy flowing and the audience happy. Being based in Cheshire gives me the opportunity to perform across a wide range of venues and communities, and I’m proud of the reputation I’m building as a reliable, crowd-pleasing entertainer. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to sing for all kinds of audiences – intimate gatherings, packed pubs, large corporate parties – and each one has taught me something new. The feedback I treasure most is when people tell me I made their night special, or when a couple says I made their wedding unforgettable. Those are the moments that remind me why I love doing what I do. Looking ahead, my ambitions are simple: to keep growing, to keep reaching new audiences, and to keep sharing my love of music wherever it takes me. I’ve already built a varied repertoire that spans decades and genres, but I’m always adding new material, exploring fresh ideas, and looking for ways to elevate my shows even further. Whether that means bigger venues, new collaborations, or even stepping into new areas like tribute performances or cruise ship shows, I’m excited about the future. At the heart of it all, though, is the same passion that started back when I was twelve years old: the joy of standing in front of an audience, giving everything I have, and seeing the smiles, the dancing, and the applause that come back in return. I’m Ben Staz – a power vocalist, entertainer, and performer – and I can’t wait to share my voice with you.
