I’m a jazz vocalist based in Shropshire, performing warm, cinematic and atmospheric sets for weddings, luxury venues and refined dining settings. My approach is simple: to create a calm, elegant backdrop that elevates the room without overpowering it. Whether it’s a ceremony, drinks reception, afternoon tea or evening service, my focus is always on shaping the atmosphere with subtlety, style and intention. My musical background is rooted in storytelling. I’ve always been drawn to the timeless quality of jazz standards and the way a single vocal line can shift the entire mood of a space. Over the years I’ve developed a sound that blends classic jazz influences with a modern, understated feel, something intimate, warm and cinematic. Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I’m most influenced by the classic jazz vocalists — Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett and Ella Fitzgerald. I love their phrasing, warmth and storytelling, and that style shapes the tone and feel of my own performances.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

One of my most high‑profile performances was “Gershwin by Candlelight” at Holy Trinity Church in Much Wenlock — a ticketed concert with the Jim Wynn Quintet. It was a beautiful, atmospheric evening and a real highlight in my work with live jazz.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If your timings change, that’s absolutely fine — I’m used to working around the flow of a wedding or event. Just let me know as soon as you can, and I’ll adjust where possible. Small changes are usually no problem at all; if the schedule shifts significantly, we can chat through the best way to make everything run smoothly.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes — I can provide background music before, between, and after my sets. I bring a playlist of suitable tracks and can tailor the atmosphere to your event. If you have specific songs you’d like included, just let me know in advance.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually need around 20–30 minutes to set up and sound‑check. I always arrive in good time before the set, so everything is ready discreetly and without disruption. If your venue has specific access requirements, just let me know and I’ll plan accordingly.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes — you’re very welcome to choose your favourites from my set list. I’m happy to shape the performance around the songs you love. If there are particular moments you want certain pieces for, just let me know and I’ll plan the set accordingly.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes — I bring all the equipment I need to perform, including my PA system, microphone, and all cables. Everything is self‑contained, so you don’t need to provide anything. I set up discreetly and make sure the sound is balanced for your venue and guest numbers.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes — I’m very happy to learn a specific piece for your event. If the song isn’t already in my set list, I can usually arrange and prepare it for you. Depending on the complexity of the track or the time required to create a suitable backing, an additional fee may apply, but I’ll always confirm this with you in advance.
