Benjamin Rocca is a pianist who has recently finished studying Music BMus at Canterbury Christ Church University focussing mainly on Jazz performance. Other modules Benjamin studied included Music Technology, Instrumental Teaching and Learning, Ensemble Direction and Conducting, Performance, and Jazz and related studies.
Benjamin Rocca is currently a recording and performing jazz pianist living in Hertfordshire. He has also worked and composed music with a number of different bands and ensembles across the UK including a 'CCCU University Big Band' lead by Steve Waterman, 'Hertfordshire Show Band' various jazz bands and pop ensembles as well as the Rocca Brothers jazz duo giving him the opportunity to perform in the a variety of different settings from Wembley Arena to local pub jam nights and music venues around London, Hertfordshire and Kent.
Benjamin plays piano, keys and synthesiser for the modern jazz group; 'The Thirteen Club'. A jazz project based in Canterbury and made up musicians studying at Canterbury Christ Church University. 'The Thirteen Club' is a 5 piece band that perform original compositions, Jazz and funk tunes with their focus on attempting to push the envelope of the genre and to create new and complex sounds crossing jazz genres with elements of funk, latin, ambient and fusion.
Benjamin regularly composes and produces music in the styles of Jazz, house, electronic, down-tempo, ambient and Hip-Hop. He also writes soundtracks for videos and advertisement.
