Ben Jay Lester first picked up a saxophone at the early age of 9 and he hasn’t put it down since. Based in Manchester he first attended the Junior Royal Northern College of Music where he developed his musical background in House, jazz, swing, and classical music. Since graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, classically trained Ben Jay Lester has been gigging around the country for various events from playing alongside Dj’s to wedding celebrations. With a passion for all genres of music, house, funk/jazz swing/soul. "Don’t play the Saxophone, let it play you" - Charlie Parker Ben is skilled at performing all genres of music, from house and funk to jazz and soul. We hired Ben for our wedding to play a saxophone set during our evening reception. Ben was fantastic, the music was great and got everyone up to the dancefloor. We loved the music from start to finish. Would highly recommend for all events.

Ben played the sax at our wedding and it was absolutely amazing. The communication before hand was super easy and it’s clear that he’s very talented and he seemed to know every single song to play along with the DJ! We knew it would be a great night but Ben on the sax really elevated the vibe and got everyone up and dancing. We kept the sax a secret from our guests and they loved it! Could not recommend him enough!
