Rock Pubs5 musicians
We are ex-professional recording artists from yesteryear - the 1970s. We don’t do this for the money anymore; we don’t actually need the money.
We are a truly outstanding rock band playing in the big rock hits of the 60s & 70s, comprising excellent musicians and singers who have done the miles over the years.
We love appearing at music pubs because audiences go bloody wild for us - which is an infinitely better reward in cash.
We are happy to play pubs for a loss and we know you’re all struggling post Brexit.
£250
Private Parties5 musicians
We adjust our prices for private parties according to who you are and where you are.
Most of our bookings are private parties.
Further below in this section we list ALL of our recent bookings and how much we were paid for each. Total transparency. No Internet bullshit or digital fluff. We’re MUCH too old!
We realise we’re a tad different and this probably requires explanation . . .
We’re not doing this for the money - we left the music business professionally decades ago. We’re very good players and singers - some of us had record contracts back in the day … when all music was ONLY on vinyl.
We put this band together in 2019 purely for the joy of performing the chart hits that were the soundtrack of our youth - exactly like the original records.
We are a bunch of old hippie socialists who have done reasonably well in life and we don’t need to be asking for huge fees for getting out on the road again and entertaining folk by playing the music we love.
So we charge different prices according to who YOU are because we think that’s the right thing to do. As long as we’re ahead a little by sunrise we’re are happy.
So . . .
So you will see it says our prices are, “FROM 250” …
The REALITY is we charge:-
-> Rock Pubs - £250
(on which means we make a loss; but we LOVE packed pub audiences going wild for how well we play!)
§ - Private Parties - £400 to £650
(It depends upon WHO you are and WHERE you are)
§ - Corporate Parties - £1,000 upwards
§ - NHS - it’s our honour to appear for free.
§ -charity events we would want to support we’ll charge petrol money only
(last year we were offered a handsome fee to headline a festival where all the ticket sales were going to the NHS air ambulance service - we insisted they pay us no more than £50).
So, here is a list of ALL of our recent bookings with the actual fees we charged (this corresponds to the ‘Gig List’ page on our website … below-the-border)

Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
That we sound exactly like the original 60s & 70s hit records.
Folk tell us most covers-bands tend to make all the songs sound the same; but we sound like ALL the different artists we cover. So Alright Now SOUNDS like Free and Honky Tonk Women SOUNDS like The Stones.
We fill dance floors. Your party guests will have a night they remember.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Town Halls
Big Festivals
Rock clubs here & Europe
Black Tie Events
Weddings
Rock pubs
Lots of small parties
Too many to list here. There’s list of town halls, universities, theatres & famous clubs on our website.
Last summer we played a Gypsy wedding and were not told the secret location until that day - a field on the South Downs. A lovely booking!
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
We cover:
Free, David Bowie, T-Rex, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Jimi Hendrix, Thin Lizzy, Cream, Badfinger, Golden Earring, The Beatles, The Faces, Steppenwolf, Steve Miller, ZZ Top, Wilson Picket, Led Zeppelin, The Hollies, The Spencer Davis Group, The Doors, Ike & Tina Turner and many more
We choose rock hits that get people dancing.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Too many to list. SOME examples:-
BBC TV & radio appearances including John Peel
Town halls / Theatres: e.g. Derby, Bury, Bradford Alhambra
Festivals: e.g. recent sundown spot Guilford Football Stadium
Universities: e.g. Warwick, Kent, York, Birmingham
Clubs: e.g Half Moon, Dingwalls, Band on the Wall Manchester, Barbarellas Birmingham, Titos Almeria
Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?
Yes - of course.
Rob takes most LV and Gail harmony; but Gail takes LV on about 5 songs
Gail is Dave Stewart’s cousin (The Eurythmics). She’s a really talented musician. But her biggest claim to fame is once making a cup of tea for Bob Dylan at her auntie’s little house in Newcastle (Dave’s mum) !
Do you have different line-up options?
No.
But you can book our support act if you want - for a separate small fee.
See the bit in here that Encore call “Add-Ons”. (Whatever happened to good old English Grammar eh? 🤣.
As Don McLean wrote, it has “Left for the coast”. Unfortunately as Bob Dylan wrote, “… like I never knowed”).
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
Never a problem.
We’ve done too many miles as professional touring musicians to sweat the small stuff.
We’re easy going highly educated & down to earth. We’ve all had high-end professional careers since leaving the music business.
Clients’ party timings often change.
Life is what happens when you’re making other plans.” - John Lennon
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yep. We don’t have a DJ service but have met enough of them over the years to recommend one that you’ll like if you tell us what genre you want.
Also happy to select an iPod play-list with you.
How much time do you need to set up?
One hour.
We have a state of the art PA but our back line amplifiers and our guitars are vintage - because they SOUND better. Authentic.
Consequently we can set up and sound check without fuss - just like the old days!
We are happy to plan our set up and sound check times around your party arrangements, just tell us what you need.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Of course.
We’re doing this for the joy of playing OUR favourite hits from the two best musical decades of the last century. But we’ll learn one of your favourite songs - so long as it’s not Jimmy Osmund.
Our show is carefully constructed. Your guests WILL shout for more. They always do.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes of course.
No tricks, no dramas, just a bunch of old hippies who have done thousands of miles gigging over the past 50 years, who are relaxed and completely reliable.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
Yes this happens all the time.
Our lead guitarist does Hendrix solos note for note and SOUNDS just like the record. Then we’ll do a T-Rex song and he’ll sound like Marc Bolan - not bending the strings, bless!
People comment how we sound like ALL the different artists we cover. That’s because we play “all the right notes in the right order”!
