Music has always been my safe place and my strongest form of expression. I grew up in a pastor’s home in Calabar, Nigeria, singing in church from the age of 13. Even as a child dealing with dyslexia and dyscalculia, music gave me a language that felt natural and free. That early foundation in gospel and worship shaped the emotional depth and honesty that still sit at the heart of everything I do. I describe my sound as “Soul Fire” – a blend of soul, gospel, contemporary R&B and rock that carries both tenderness and power. Whether I’m performing solo with just my guitar and voice, as a duo, or with a full band, my goal is the same: to create a genuine connection with the room. I want people to feel something real – hope, healing, joy, or simply the freedom to sing along. Clients often tell me the atmosphere changes the moment I start playing, and that is the greatest compliment I can receive. My journey into professional performance began with competitions. I was first runner-up in Voice of Cross River in 2011, reached the Top 5 on Nigerian Idol in 2014, and went on to win the Karaoke World Championships Nigeria in 2020, representing the country internationally. Those experiences taught me stage craft, resilience, and how to read an audience. Since relocating to the UK I have continued to build a busy live schedule across Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider West Midlands – from intimate pub and restaurant sets to larger stages such as HMV Empire Coventry, charity events, private functions and intercultural celebrations. I have also been invited multiple times onto BBC Radio West Midlands to perform and talk about my music. Alongside performing I am an active songwriter and recording artist. My releases explore themes of faith, resilience, motherhood and healing. In 2024 I received a Bronze Medal for Lyrics/Songwriting at the Global Music Awards for “Toxic Places” and was named a Finalist for Best Vocalist at the Intercontinental Music Awards. I also offer vocal coaching and guitar lessons, which keeps me grounded and constantly refining my own craft. Professionally, I take pride in being reliable, well-prepared and easy to work with. I arrive early, communicate clearly, and adapt the set to the occasion – whether that means elegant background music for a wedding ceremony, an energetic evening set for a party, or a more intimate acoustic performance. I am equally comfortable as a solo artist, in a duo, or leading a full band, and I always aim to leave both the clients and their guests feeling that the music was one of the highlights of their event. At the end of the day I perform because music has carried me through every chapter of my life, and I love sharing that same sense of connection and uplift with others.
