I am a versatile and expressive musician, bringing both graceful elegance and commanding brilliance to every performance. Whether delivering soaring descants in churches or creating a warm, sophisticated atmosphere with vocals for drinks receptions, I tailor my performances to enhance each setting with style and sensitivity. With over a decade of experience, I have performed at some of the UK’s most prestigious venues and events. As a lead trumpeter with the Nu Civilisation Orchestra and Jazz Jamaica All Stars, I’ve appeared at the BBC Proms and played alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra, delivering powerful and emotive performances. I’ve also had the privilege of backing world-renowned artists, including Chaka Khan, Beverley Knight, Alfie Boe, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Laura Mvula—experiences that have refined my musicianship and stagecraft. In a ceremonial setting, I specialise in church services and weddings, adding a touch of grandeur with bright, lyrical descants and timeless trumpet solos. My playing complements both traditional hymns and contemporary pieces, providing a rich and moving accompaniment. For drinks receptions, I offer laid-back, soulful vocals, creating a relaxed and elegant atmosphere with a repertoire choice of jazz standards, acoustic ballads, and/or tasteful interpretations of popular songs. The trumpet occasionally makes an appearance, adding a subtle yet striking flourish to the set. Whether performing solo with backing tracks or collaborating with guitarists, pianists, or small ensembles, I bring warmth, charm, and musicality to every occasion. I also offer remote and in-studio trumpet recording, creating everything from mellow solos and funky horn lines to adding vintage flair for recording projects.
