Bass12 bio Bass12 are the south-west's powerhouse riot jazz, brass covers band who bring huge horns, dangerous drums and sumptuous sousaphone to the dance floor to liven up any event. Inspired by the street beat sound of the New Orleans second line, they'll keep you singing and dancing all night long with an array of well known tunes like you've never heard before. Having played stadium and arena events to thousands, sports events as the resident band of Cardiff Rugby, headlined the free-stage at Cheltenham Jazz Festival and weddings and celebrations across the country, word on the street is 'there ain't no party like a Bass12 party!'

If you want a party, Bass12 are your band! They made our wedding such a riot with a jam packed dance floor all night and such amazing vibes! We had organised for them to surprise our guests after dinner flash mob style and it is one of our fondest memories from the day! They also did a Chapelle Roan request from us too which was perfect and sounded amazing on brass. You can really tell these guys enjoy what they do, and they put on such a show that bought the whole room together. Honestly they absolutely made it so special for us and we are so grateful!

We couldn’t have been happier with Bass12 at our wedding! They brought such amazing energy and brought everyone back up after our wedding breakfast. What really stood out was how they interacted with the crowd — roaming around the dance floor, getting guests involved, and creating such a fun, immersive experience. The atmosphere they created was electric, and so many of our guests commented on how much fun they had. The set list was a good mix of music for everyone and pink pony club was particularly well received as everyone rushed to the dance floor for it! If you’re looking for a band that not only sounds amazing but truly brings the party and connects with everyone in the room I would definitely recommend Bass12!

What a band! We had Bass12 play at our wedding and everyone was blown away and kept asking us where we found them! Contact with Mark was excellent in the lead up and they were very accommodating to our slight delay on the day. The roaming band taking us up to the reception was also a fun touch - thank you so much guys!

A HUGE thank you to Mark and the band for playing at our wedding. Mark played saxophone during the post-ceremony drinks which everyone loved - especially my Nan! The band played at the evening reception and they were absolutely fantastic and had everyone up on their feet dancing - the dance floor was never empty while they were playing ! I’ve had many guests say to me how genuinely amazing the band were and that it was the best band they’d seen at a wedding! They made our wedding evening so much fun and I would definitely recommend this band for any large event. Thank you so much.

Bass 12 performed at our wedding last week and if you're looking for a riot jazz dance vibe at yours then look no further. These guys have been the ultimate professionals from booking to performing. We had the 3 piece band performing and the vibe and atmosphere they created was more than enough to start and carry on the party and all our guests commented on how great they were! Do you have different line-up options?

Bass12: Our main band line-up usually includes, 2 saxophones, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, sousaphone and drums Bass12 5 piece: - (perfect for drinks receptions and parades) 3 front-line horns (mix of saxes, trumpet trombone), bass or sousaphone and drums Bass12 trio: sax, bass and drums All groups come with vocals

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, let us know if you'd like background music between our sets, we charge £50 per hour for this service before or after our performance.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes - we either perform acoustically or with microphones attached to our instruments so we can move around freely. Our drummer can use a marching snare drum.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. You are welcome to ask for our full repertoire and suggest some favourites - we will then do what we can to fit these in!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Unless you request we perform acoustically, PA and lighting is included in our quote. Let us know if your venue can already provide a PA system with at least 8xlr inputs and 'phantom power'.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely! If a song you would like to be performed is not in our standard repertoire list, Bass12 HQ can use their special Bass12 formula to write an arrangement and have it ready for your event for a fee of £60
