Bass12 are a riot jazz, brass covers band guaranteed to liven up any event bringing huge horns, dangerous drums and sumptuous sousaphone to the dance floor. Influences: Youngblood Brass Band, Hot 8 Brass Band, No BS, Soul Rebels Brass Band, Rebirth Brass Band We play an array of well known tunes like you've never heard them before as well as some original tracks. We work on the principle that music should be danced to. If it's got high energy brass and percussion, you can't beat it!

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up usually includes, 2 saxophones, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, sousaphone and drums We can offer a Bass12 trio of sax, bass and drums to provide music earlier in the day or event in preparation for the main band. Both groups come with vocals

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, let us know if you'd like background music between our sets, we charge £50 per hour for this service before or after our performance.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes - we either perform acoustically or with microphones attached to our instruments so we can move around freely. Our drummer can use a marching snare drum.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. You are welcome to ask for our full repertoire and suggest some favourites - we will then do what we can to fit these in!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Unless you request we perform acoustically, PA and lighting is included in our quote. Let us know if your venue can already provide a PA system with at least 8xlr inputs and 'phantom power'.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely! If a song you would like to be performed is not in our standard repertoire list, Bass12 HQ can use their special Bass12 formula to write an arrangement and have it ready for your event for a fee of £60

What a band! We had Bass12 play at our wedding and everyone was blown away and kept asking us where we found them! Contact with Mark was excellent in the lead up and they were very accommodating to our slight delay on the day. The roaming band taking us up to the reception was also a fun touch - thank you so much guys!

I booked Bass12 for my wedding evening band, they absolutely smashed it! They had everyone up dancing all night and even played for our first dance which made it so much fun for us. All of our guests thought they were fantastic. Mark was really quick to respond to any queries we had before the event and the band were very understanding when our schedule for the evening overran a little. I would certainly recommend them.

Bass12 played an awesome set for our wedding reception! Their energy was infectious and everyone commented how much fun they had. The set list was a good mix of classics and more modern tracks, and everything went smoothly on the night. Highly recommend!

You guys were exceptional! We knew right from the start of the planning of the wedding we wanted Bass12. Ever since we saw you at a wedding fair a year back. You made it so we were partying with you not just listening. The atmosphere was incredible, you’re all sooo good! Would 100% recommend, absolutely loved it!

Thank you guys so much for everything, you were our favorite part of the day! We hired Bass12 to perform and do a traditional New Orleans second line at our wedding this year. They were absolutely fantastic. Our guests were so surprised by the band as we hadn’t told anyone they would be coming. The band made the whole day festive and wonderful. Even from the start we felt confident with them as planning the set list and arrival of the band to the venue was so easy. The band was easy to get a hold of and reliable. We would absolutely use Bass12 to perform at any other party we have!
