We had a large wedding of 150 people including family and our friends..Bare Groove managed to keep everyone on the dancefloor. I am super into my music and haven’t attended an event where I have danced all night for so long. We had so many of our guests ask about the band and where we heard of them. I was definitely glad that I had gone for low heeled shoes. The fact that they stayed later to run our ipad music too for use went beyond what we expected

Bare Groove were absolutely amazing when they performed at our wedding. All our guests were up dancing and all commented on how great the night was. Matthew the manager was really approachable and had a lot of time for us. The whole band were great but the female vocalist we had was amazing! They even went to the effort of rehearsing certain songs we loved which they had never played before and it sounded great. We cannot wait to book them again in the future. Highly recommended!

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our passion for great music performances brings an energy and interaction with you and your guests so everyone feels included. Our song choices are chosen with the audience in mind and 'read' the crowd as to what is going down well. The band will play what you want to hear and be able dance to every track played.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

There is a lot!! We have played in high class hotel venues and conferences (e.g. The Savoy, The Dorchester, The Gherkin, London Stadium), to castles (Arundel and Lympne), stately homes, wedding venues, museums, in fields with large marquees, festivals, at home garden parties, on boats and live music venues.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

As a collective, we all bring different musical tastes. The Motown/Soul/Funk/Disco side of our music is influenced by artistes such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Tina Turner, Ray Charles, Jackson 5, Sister Sledge, Chic and James Brown. There are some more recent influential artists - the list could go on!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably for the wedding of the Earl of Norfolk at his home in Arundel Castle. To be the only band to have played in an 11th century venue with some important guests was an amazing experience! We have also had the pleasure of playing for some VIP's in the music business, but I am not going to name drop!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our standard 6-piece line up consists of a female vocalist, drums, guitar, bass, keys and a trumpet/percussionist. We also have male vocalists who will sing and do backing vocals. IN addition, you can add a saxophone and a trombone/baritone sax to the line up (a full brass section).

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely! This is already included in our service. A pre-mixed DJ set with songs of your choice during the band break and at the end of the night

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting is included in your quote. If you book the band for the day and require a wireless microphone and speakers for speeches, this can be provided for £150. For the 6 piece line-up, we would require a performance space of 6 metres (long) x 3.5 metres (deep)

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £40 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
