What do your clients love most about your performances?
We are drummer-less. Not because we don't like drummers, but just because we love the subtlety our lineup offers. It also means we require minimum setup time and space, making us appropriate for a wider range of events.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
The Ned (London); Wilderness Reserve (Saxmundham); OXO Tower (London); The Old Library, Guildhall (London), various private residences.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Chet Baker, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
with the Guildhall Jazz Orchestra at the Milton Court Concert Hall.
Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?
Yes. If for whatever reason our Singer is unavailable we will have a suitable and equally competent replacement which we will communicate to you for your approval. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players, including any replacements, are of a very high level.
Do you have different line-up options?
Yes. We offer the following -
Quartet: Vocals, Sax, Guitar, Double Bass;
Instrumental Trio: Sax, Guitar, Double Bass;
Vocal Trio: Vocals, Guitar, Double Bass;
Duo: Vocals, Guitar.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
“We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know. We will do what we can to make it work.”
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
We can provide iPod service inbetween sets only.
How much time do you need to set up?
Minimum set up time is required.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Yes. Please let us know any requests in advance so that we can be sure to have this prepared.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Our PA is lightweight.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
f a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
