Barbara Kempf

Barbara has been playing and singong Latin American Folk music since she was 10 years old alongside her Bolivian father. Since 1999 she has been working with her Chilean friend Ana Luisa in the band Mestisa characterised by beautiful harmonies, lively and emotional tunes. In 2013 they performed Ariel Ramirez Misa Criolla, a personal highlight for Barbara. Mestisa performed at many festivals including Beverly and Filey Folk Festivals and Kendal Calling as well as for Instituto Cervantes and the University of Leeds. Barbara also sings in the salsa community band Los Camaradas.
