A love of music bought these two friends together as teenagers and they have been playing music together since. Ali and Liam love nothing more than fiddling and strumming their favourite tunes and sharing their love of foot stomping, hand clapping, sing along traditional and modern folk songs. Balor is their latest venture together, having played together before in Irish rock and pop bands. Balor make a lot of fun and noise for a small group, however also love to slow things down with a beautiful ballad. They play with fiddle and guitar and the instruments alongside the mix of male and female vocals make these an exciting duo for your event or wedding. Liam and Ali join up with Laurence (bass and vocals) and Emily (drums) to make a four piece band, which is an even livelier and louder version of the band. This group are brilliant at getting any party going.

This band is fantastic. I booked them for my 60th Birthday party, and they surpassed all our expectations. Talented, energetic, their music was fantastic. They also very clearly love to perform and its infectious, what a night we had, thank you so much Balor.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes …. The standard duo and we can add drums and bass to have a full four piece band, perfect for wedding receptions, large parties and events.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

That's fine, we will be as flexible as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes absolutely! As long as you require us to play with PA all the equipment will be set up. We can use our own Spotify playlists or you can find one to suit you.

How much time do you need to set up?

20 minutes for the duo 45 minutes max for the full band

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes we can be fully acoustic and roam

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

For shorter sets this would be possible.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, a maximum of three songs requests. No fee for this.
