With funky, beat-driven arrangements of classic and modern pop tunes form the 1960's onwards, Backstage Brass are guaranteed to bring a party atmosphere to any event! Backstage Brass is a six-piece Brass Band (2 x Trumpets, 2 x Trombones, Tuba/Sousaphone and Drum-Kit), performing a huge range of repertoire in a variety of styles to suit almost any event; from weddings to festivals, private parties to corporate functions...even bandstand gigs and traditional concert recitals. Backstage Brass is inspired by the British Brass Band tradition and the New Orleans Brass Band style, resulting in the perfect mix of entertainment and quality music making. We are an acoustic act, in most cases, meaning we are fully mobile and able to adapt to most situations. We can also provide a PA for larger functions and other indoor performances, where appropriate. Absolutely incredible!!! We hired backstage brass for our wedding and they were absolutely amazing! From greeting us off the bus we had hired to take our guests from the daytime venue to our evening venue, the selection of songs, getting everyone going and dancing…. They really helped to kick off our night do celebrations to an amazing start! So many of our guests have commented on how good they were! Xxx

Absolutely amazing! They got all guests young and old up and dancing their hearts out. The DJ provided was very accommodating and friendly with prior to coming on stage double checking any preferences with bride/groom for songs. We couldn’t have asked any more for our wedding and would 1000% recommend to anyone for future events! We were quite slow at sending them paperwork and they were all very relaxed about it. Can’t thank them enough, an amazing team!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We really enjoy the energy Backstage Brass create on stage. We love to play alongside each other and pride ourselves in maintaining a performance standard unrivalled by our peers.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have performed at a number of prestigious wedding and events venues across the UK.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We are most influenced by similar New-Orleans style brass groups, such as Lucky Chops and Hot 8 Brass Band.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Our most high profile gig, to date, was a private event for a celebrity, at their home!

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is as follows: 2 x Trumpets, 2 x Trombones, Tuba/Sousaphone and Drums/Percussion.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always do our best to be flexible with clients to ensure the smooth running of events. Please keep us updated with expected timings where possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We provide a DJ service between sets for an extra £200 - £250, depending upon equipment required.

How much time do you need to set up?

We are usually set up and ready to play within 30 minutes (acoustic) or 45 minutes (amplified).

Can you roam around while you perform?

We are generally stationary as we perform, however we do move around from a staged position and also offer a selection of roaming tunes to open/close the event if necessary.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our setlists are crafted from our experience of previous events, however, we always try to make the setlist as personalised as possible. We perform music from many genres/decades and therefore like to have the input of our clients as to what they would like to hear.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Everything is included in our quotes.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We can learn requests, providing we are given adequate time to prepare arrangements.
