AZUL was formed in Mexico, 2022, where, by coincidence (or fate!), Athena and Naomi met with their violins and, after busking the streets of Tulum together, had an instant musical connection. Now based in London, the pair have united their energy and unrivalled experience in the events industry to create a unique, high impact duo show. With world-class training from the Royal Academy of Music, Trinity Laban and Oxford University, the girls combine their impeccable technical training with a love for improvisation, and combine genres from Classical to Afrobeat, House & EDM. Having played with with stars such as Ed Sheeran and Indian Idol winner Salman Ali at no less than the BRIT awards, Wembley Arena, the House of Lords, the Royal Albert Hall and for clients such as ITV and Premier League Productions, Athena & Naomi are excellently placed to light up any event, whether weddings, corporate, destination or private parties. What do your clients love most about your performances?

Everything we play is memorised! We always bring the energy and our shows always keep the atmosphere buzzing!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

AZUL have performed together at Whitehall, the US Ambassador's Residence and Jazz Café but to name a few! As solo violinists they have performed at the House of Lords, the London Eye, Wembley SSE Arena, the 02 Indigo and many more!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

For JetBlue's Boston-London launch at the US Ambassador's residence. We brought a bespoke set to guarantee the atmosphere at this garden party was elegant, upbeat and the right ambience for networking!

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes! We also have the option of playing with DJ and/or Sax. We also offer the option of a violin and piano duo should your venue have a piano. Get in touch to discuss options!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always adopt a flexible approach and understand that timings change. Just let us know of any changes will try to adapt to your schedule or find a solution together.

How much time do you need to set up?

If we are providing the PA system, we need about 45 minutes to set up, and will arrive minimum 1.5 hours before start time. If the PA system is provided by the venue or another supplier, getting ready time is significantly reduced but a sound check will be necessary, taking about 20 minutes.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes! Our setlists combine a wide variety of genres and has been built up over the years by what we have seen to work best for violin duo. We also accept up to 3 requests in advance, so if you don't see you favourite song on our list, just let us know!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! For events of over 150 people or for certain bespoke events, a sound technician and PA system will need to be hired separately.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes! We include up to 3 extra requests for free before every event so will be happy to learn your special songs in advance and can discuss if there are more than 3 which you would like.

Could not fault them. Played beautifully at our conference and many conference guests where keen to know who they were and wanted to pass on compliments. Very professional and perfectly on time.
