Axelle Benth is a French female Singer, Composer, Songwriter and Producer, Holder of a Master’s Degree in English, having taught the subject for a few years, back home and in London, Axelle’s passion for music ends by taking over.
Born on a 14 of October in Cayenne (French Guiana) and raised in a family composed of Artists and Musicians, Axelle quickly falls in love with music. As her father himself discovers her gifted voice at only 5 years old, constantly humming ''Limiye Kache'', a hit zouk from the 80's, Axelle keeps improving her singing and dancing skills, showing so much interest that her mother later on registers her to the local community centre for ballet lessons that she enjoys.
Highly infuenced by international artists such as Alicia keys, Usher, Alaine and Lionel Richie whom album "Back to Front" Axelle meticulously knows by heart, reveals her passion for the English language and American culture. At 10, highly encouraged by her uncle and singer ''Andre Benth'' from the ''Flamants Roses'' band, she experiences her first live performance, backed up by the local band ''Les Blue Birds'', and singing the hit '' When two Become One'' by the Spice Girls during the famous local event ''Mega Pentenng'' gathering artists from the French West Indies and France ( Poetic lovers/ Theorem/ Wonm..)
It is only 3 years later that Axelle, determined, wins “Les Jeunes Talents” singing contest, implemented by Jacklyn DIOMAR, a local Artist. Axelle’s first zouk song, written by Sylvio OPHION is therefore recorded, intitled “Kase” and released in 2004 on the compilation “Les Jeunes Talents” with all the contesters.
In 2006, Axelle’s talent is promoted, as she later on joins 2 famous reggae dancehall bands as a chorist, namely RAS BENDJIH’s band and YANA SOUND CREW where she occasionally performs her own reggae song ever played “Tell me Why” and backs up different local Artists and French Caribbean ones, including Joyce, Paille, Cindy Faustin, Tiwony...), during diverse concerts throughout the country, which helps the young lady to gain the confidence she needs to go to the next level.
The same year, with the complicity of Real Love, she co-writes the zouk hit “Sors de ma vie” that appears on the compilation “Cocktail 973” produced by DJ Radical.
2007 is the year that allows Axelle to reach a wider audience, as, with Bruno JONEL’s support from the “AAL”, she records the zouk hit “Mo Pa Bizwen” written by Warren, a famous local Artist.
In 2011, the team decides, to reiterate the experience by inviting emerging talents on a compilation called “Frekans’ Zouk”and at that occasion, Axelle delivers her song “Je Reve de Toi”, with the complicity of the sound engineer and producer Gilles GRIFFIT and Wilfried LERUS, the executive producer.
2012 is the consecration year, as the young Artist, solicited by Warren, joins his stable, with a promised album on the top. “Ton Ex” therefore emerges as a hit song reaching both French West Indies and France, confirming Axelle’s outstanding place in the entertainment world.
2013, as her expectations are not met, Axelle decides to move to England on her own, to make her dream come true and releases, one year later her zouk hit “Evasion”she works on, back in 2011 with her cousin and Artist Carl TACITA, while preparing her own album, including songs such as “Tease Me” released in 2015. Axelle collaborates with two producers from France and the French West Indies (Chabine Prod and Julien LeBlogduZouk) to promote Evasion on the compilations “LES TUBES DU ZOUK 2015” and “ZOUK SESSION 2015” gathering prestigious Artists from the French sphere.
Christian, above all and peacemaker, Axelle’s world, full or creativity and audacity, as she claims herself “boundless and versatile”, is experimented through “Get That”, a RNB song, dedicated to the Lord, also released in 2014. She, later on goes to the next level by delivering her latest hit ”So Precious” a new genre, fresh vibe, mixing RNB, trap, UK Garage and Gospel, as a life Anthem, with the complicity of an Ivorian Artist and Producer, Raymond Gadji.
Now dedicated to share the Gospel, the best is yet to come!
