The Aurora Quartet is a string ensemble specialising in adding that touch of class to your wedding ceremonies and receptions.

The Aurora Quartet, based in Aberdeen, was formed by a group of local and highly experienced musicians. Aden Mazur - Violin An established member of the Aberdeen music scene, Aden is a regular player with many of the local orchestras including Aberdeen Sinfonietta, Aberdeen Chamber Orchestra, Grampian Concert Orchestra and the Haddo House orchestra. Since 2013, Aden has been leader for many sell out performances of shows in the Edinburgh Fringe including Les Miserables, Oliver!, Oh! What A Lovely War, and Sunshine on Leith. Alongside his orchestral career, Aden is an active Musical Director, most recently assisting with the Aberdeen Art Centre Theatre's pantomime Snow White and the 7 Dwarves, and their recent production of Cabaret (2016). Alexandria Grant - Violin After receiving a Diploma in Violin from ABRSM while still at school, Alexandria has gone on to be leader of many orchestra including the Grampian Youth Orchestra and the Scottish Opera Connect Orchestra where she performed the premier of Anamchara by renowned composer Pippa Murphy. Jonathan Kightley - Viola Jonathan studied with Roger Bigley (ex Lindsay Quartet) and Thomas Riebl at the Royal Northern College of Music. He enjoys a varied career playing with numerous orchestras, chamber ensembles and giving solo recitals. From 2010-2014 Jonathan was violist with the Menuhin Foundation Quartet in Bermuda. Gareth John - Cello Gareth regularly appears in recital and as concerto soloist, and has recorded for BBC Radio 3. Having graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Distinction in Performance, Gareth later studied conducting and, among others, has conducted with the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland, the North Wales Youth Orchestra, Aberdeen Sinfonietta and a TV special for S4C with Hayley Westenra. He is conductor of Aberdeen Chamber Orchestra with whom he conducted a memorable Beethoven: Choral Symphony in Aberdeen's Music Hall in 2015.
