We play Traditional Irish Music and sing Irish folk songs and Ballads. Coming from traditional music families, you could say it's in our blood. Create authentic atmospheres or sing along. We help you set the tone for your day. Romantic ceremonies. Lively drinks receptions. Trad sessions in the bar or even a Ceile with our amazing dancers (if they're not touring with Lord of the dance). 10 years together and with many decades of experience within the Irish Trad scene. Authentically Irish. We are based in Leinster, but travel nationwide and internationally on request. We use PA for lager groups or keep it real with intimate trad sessions. Asgard musicians are lovely! They played my destination wedding ceremony music and reception and were so fun and talented, with a good mix of music styles in their repertoire (they even knew John Denver’s country roads, which was the perfect father daughter dance)! They also learned songs I requested and played them beautifully! Very kind and professional and gave us recommendations on how to find real trad music sessions for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend!

Alison and the team played at our wedding - both in the ceremony and in the reception afterwards. Everything from the opening call, to deciding the music, and their performances were spot on and well received by everyone! Their music was exceptional, and really made our day! We bring an elevated experience to events. Bespoke ceremony music and drinks receptions. We are an authentic trad band with decades of experience together and with many talented musicians. A hit with old and young, traditional songs bring all generations together.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Our private exclusive events are each as special in such venues as Ballyfin House and Luttrelstown Castle. We don't play to numbers but create authentic and bespoke experiences for our clients.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our trio includes Uilleann pipes, Whistles, Fiddle Guitar, Vocals and Bodhran. We can play as a 2 piece, or add more musicians on request: Accordion, Banjo, Flute etc

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

For weddings we typically play until your call for dinner (pre-dinner) or for 2 hours. We try to be flexible on the day. Any changes ahead of time just let us know

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We work with DJs and would quote separately for this.

How much time do you need to set up?

30 minutes for our trio set up.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Only if you are OK with acoustic performance. Uilleann pipes are played sitting down, however.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, please pick from our playlist, we will endeavour to play from your selection

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

yes. We do not have lighting or stage, but can arrange that for bigger events

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, given 3 months notice and always considering our genre and instruments and if we feel we can make the most of the piece. Open to discuss!
