Hi there! My name is Arran and I am a pianist, vocalist and songwriter based in Greater Manchester. I specialise in creating elegant and soulful covers of popular songs that bring together Jazz and Pop for a unique and memorable sound. I am originally a classically-trained multi-instrumentalist, with over a decade's worth of experience playing at the highest levels internationally, including playing in the Halle Youth Orchestra and Championship Section Brass Bands. I transitioned into Jazz and Pop a number of years ago when playing in Pop bands, and refined my skills whilst studying for my BA in Music and Philosophy. I am passionate about creating a boutique experience for my clients through reimagining the music they love in an imaginative yet recognisable way. I am always happy to take requests and learn new songs with a couple of weeks' notice. I have my own premium electric keyboard, microphone and PA system to ensure the sound is as true to the music as possible.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No worries! Things change and I'm happy to adapt to and situations that may arise. I will still arrive promptly to ensure I have time to set up, just try and keep me informed.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Not usually. But if it is something you particularly want, then I can arrange it.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually arrive about an hour before performance time to set up.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Of course! As long as the piano is sufficiently in tune and generally playable - it may be best to send me a video of the piano first so I can make sure it won't affect the quality of the performance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely. Everyone has a different taste in music, so I aim to provide a boutique service to ensure that

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, I will bring my own premium, full-size keyboard with me unless directed otherwise.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes! I'm passionate about learning new songs and putting my own twist on them. Just let me know any requests at least a week in advance so I have time to perfect my arrangements before the performance.
