Hi there! My name is Arran and I am a pianist, vocalist and songwriter based in Greater Manchester. I specialise in creating elegant and soulful covers of popular songs that bring together Jazz and Pop for a unique and memorable sound. I am originally a classically-trained multi-instrumentalist, with over a decade's worth of experience playing at the highest levels internationally, including playing in the Halle Youth Orchestra and Championship Section Brass Bands. I transitioned into Jazz and Pop a number of years ago when playing in Pop bands, and refined my skills whilst studying for my BA in Music and Philosophy. I am passionate about creating a engaging experience for my clients through reimagining the music they love in an imaginative yet recognisable way. I am always happy to take requests and learn new songs with a couple of weeks' notice. I have my own premium electric keyboard, microphone and PA system to ensure the sound is as true to the music as possible.

Over the past few months Arran has been a frequent performer at my events and always puts on a great show, with engaging charm and consistent quality. Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No worries! Things change and I aim to be as adaptable as I can be to any situations that may arise. I will still arrive promptly to ensure I have time to set up, just be sure to keep me informed in case I need to change my plans or arrange cover.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely, I can play music from any phone through my speakers, although it is through a wire so the phone will have to stay by the speakers. I am, of course, happy to use my phone. I can either play music from my phone that will fit the vibe or you can send me a playlist.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually arrive about an hour before performance starts to ensure I have plenty of time to set up all my equipment.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Of course, I have played all types of pianos and practise regularly on both my electric piano and a grand piano. Although I ask that you send me a video of the piano first to make sure it is sufficiently in tune and generally playable so that the quality of performance is not affected. I will likely still bring my premium electric piano as well just in case.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely. Everyone has a different taste in music, so I aim to provide a boutique service to ensure that you are happy with the set.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, I have my own premium, full-size keyboard that I have perfected my set for.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes! I'm passionate about learning new songs and putting my own twist on them. Just let me know any requests at least a week in advance so I have time to perfect my arrangements before the performance.
