NB: Given time, I could do any song from any of these artists.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
Absolutely no problem. I am very flexible and will encourage an open dialogue so we both know exactly what the time parameters are well in advance of the event.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Of course. If general music suggestions are made I can curate a playlist for between live segments.
How much time do you need to set up?
I like to have everything set up 30-45 minutes before the performance at the latest. From arrival, it generally takes the same amount of time to set up - depending on the live act/ensemble. Including soundcheck, this may be pushed by 10 or so minutes.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
I have a repertoire that I work from and adapt to the event. I encourage anyone booking me to let me know who I'm performing for!
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
Requests can be made in advance and within reason. Occasionally I'll take requests at the event.
What do your clients love most about your performances?
They enjoy my unique performance style and personality. I am very dynamic and engaging and not afraid to change things up every time I perform.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Almost any imaginable venue in Glasgow. Plenty around Scotland and have gone further afield with different bands and sometimes in Europe.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Performance-wise, I'm influenced by my peers and people I play with as I "play off" them. Creatively it's a large spectrum, but I always go back to the work of artists such as Pavement, XTC, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Laua Marling and Yo La Tengo. This changes almost day to day.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
For sheer quantity of people, Marseille beach festival, where I played to approx 2,000 people. For prestige, supporting Dave Wakeling's The Beat at Glasgow's O2 ABC (rip).
