Ariel Carrabre is a Montréal-based classical cellist offering refined, expressive live music for weddings, private celebrations, corporate events, receptions, proposals, and other special occasions.
From March 2021 to June 2025, Ariel was the core cellist for Candlelight Montréal, serving as the series’ regular cellist across hundreds of performances. During that time, he performed a broad range of music, including classical masterpieces, film scores, jazz, and arrangements of major pop and rock artists. This experience has made him equally comfortable performing an elegant wedding processional, creating a warm atmosphere during a cocktail reception, or presenting a memorable featured performance.
Ariel holds a doctorate in cello performance from the Université de Montréal and has appeared as a soloist with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. He has also been recognized as a prize winner at major Canadian competitions and has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral cellist.
His principal offering is solo cello, which can provide anything from intimate background music to a striking central moment within an event. Every performance is carefully tailored to the setting and the client’s vision. Ariel can help select music for guest arrival, processionals, signing ceremonies, recessionals, proposals, dinners, and receptions, while also accommodating meaningful special requests whenever possible. His repertoire spans classical, romantic, cinematic, contemporary, pop, and rock selections.
