We are Alexander (violin) and Mike (cello) and are music college graduates that have performed with some of the best musicians, and at the best venues in the UK during our career. Music is our passion, and we want to share that with you when we perform. We love all styles and genres of music from jazz to classical, to klezmer to Celtic. We specialise in playing with style and panache with attention to musical phrasing and solid rhythmic energy. Let us entertain you!

Alexander and Mike were absolutely incredible. Our favourite part of our day was having them play. It's the one thing our guests still talk about. Both gentlemen are so talented and really feel the music they are creating. Unfortunately myself and my husband went to have photos taken so missed a lot of Alexander and Mike. However, as I was about to walk down the aisle to my husband to be with my dad by my side, I heard the piece of music I had personally requested start to play. Goosebumps!! It made the already special moment, even more special. They are incredible and I could listen to them all day. I now recommend them to anyone and everyone. They really elevated our day. Best decision about our wedding was having Alexander and Mike play. Outstanding. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you made our wedding day so special. Thank you 😀

We booked the duo to entertain us for my 50th birthday party with around 25 people coming along. From the moment they sat down Alexander and Mike entertained us! They were able to play my favourite tune, "Calon Lan" as a special request and we all sang along. Very much appreciated. Very accomplished musicians that played a variety of genre. Very personable and friendly musicians that I would thoroughly recommend for any party of people that appreciate good music.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our regular line up is as a violin and cello duo. We also have a 3 piece, trio option that includes an extra violin, or we can provide a 4 piece string quartet that includes the viola for larger occasions.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know. We know that things never go quite to plan on the day and we can accommodate slight changes to running times just let us know on the day.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up the hour before we are required to play. Being only 2 it doesn't take much time!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests enjoy the performance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event. Please let us know requests in advance of the day of the performance.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, we provide all instruments, music and music stands. All we need are comfortable chairs to play on and a suitable area that gives us the room we need to perform so that your guests can enjoy!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, we are happy to accommodate up to 3 requests.
