Ariane Zandi

I trained at the Royal College of Music with Melissa Phelps. As a performer, I am a member of the Chineke! Orchestra and Le Gateau Chocolat's Cocoa Orchestra, having also worked with the House and Garage Orchestra as well as performing recitals across London. I have been the recipient of several awards including The Director's Award (Junior Guildhall), the Jacqueline Ward Award (RCM) and 3rd Prize in the International Gustav Mahler Cello Competition. I am equally as comfortable performing pop/jazz music as I am classical. In my classical work, I have performed and worked with a wide range of artists including Nicola Benedetti. At the other end of the spectrum, I have performed at festivals - including wireless and with artists such a Stormzy. A passionate educator, I founded 'The David Ferguson Memorial Prize' and am the Director of the 'All Things Cello' courses. I currently teaches for Music House, Walthamstow Music Service and Ealing Junior Music School where she also conducts the Elementary String Ensemble. I am also Lead Ambassador for the Benedetti Foundation and have a private teaching practice too. I whole-heartedly believes that music education should be accessible to all.
