Discover Gurdy Gaia and get medieval vibes. The Hurdy Gurdy is an ancient drone instrument related to the subsequent violin. Gurdy Gaia is custom made by the German brand Gotschy (model: Poenix Alea, 6 strings, walnut body) I was always interested in the old medieval and pagan vibes which made me pick up the Hurdy Gurdy one final day. Besides this, this instrument is a little orchestra as it includes base, rhythm and melody elements - all in one! No matter if you play trad music, classic songs or even modern or electric sounds, you can basically do every kind of music with a Hurdy Gurdy which makes it even more interesting.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Sometimes plans change - if your timings will slightly, just let me know as soon as possible to rearrange the schedule.

How much time do you need to set up?

The Hurdy Gurdy is quite a sensitive instrument and always needs proper time to adjust and tune. You´ll need to allow approx. 10 minutes for this as well as some time for soundcheck if I play with PA.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I can bring a small Roland amplifier and mic which can fill smaller venues with enough sound.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Given enough time it could be arranged - please contact me for bespoke quote for this case.
